Tom Lee, the chairman of BitMine, believes that a significant shift in how corporations handle their reserves could catapult Ethereum toward a price point exceeding ten thousand dollars within the next year. Rather than relying solely on retail hype or individual traders, Lee argues that the real catalyst for this surge will be treasury firms integrating the cryptocurrency into their long term financial strategies.

According to Lee’s analysis, institutional adoption is already well underway but has yet to reach its full potential. He notes that companies holding Ethereum on their balance sheets currently control approximately seven percent of the total circulating supply. While this may seem modest, it represents a foundational level of corporate trust in the asset as a store of value and a functional utility tool.

Looking ahead at the current market cycle, Lee predicts that this corporate ownership will roughly double, reaching fifteen percent of all available ETH. This massive influx of institutional capital would create a powerful supply squeeze, effectively removing large portions of the coin from open exchanges and driving prices upward through sheer scarcity.

This projection suggests that Ethereum is evolving beyond its image as just a platform for smart contracts and decentralized apps. By becoming a staple of corporate treasuries, ETH is positioning itself alongside traditional reserve assets, potentially triggering a bullish run that defies previous historical peaks as firms race to secure their holdings before the window closes.
