Stacks is seeing a significant uptick in network participation following a strong performance throughout the third quarter. According to its latest ecosystem report, the Bitcoin layer 2 network has successfully attracted 735 BTC into its staking system over the course of its first two lock up cycles. This growth represents a twenty five percent climb in STX staking, signaling an increasing level of confidence among holders and institutional players alike.

The momentum built steadily between the initial phases of the program. While the first cycle known as Bond 1 brought in 230 BTC, the subsequent cycle saw those numbers more than double to reach 505 BTC. This rapid acceleration suggests that early adopters provided a proof of concept that encouraged a much larger wave of capital to enter the system during the second round.

Much of this activity was driven by prominent names in the digital asset space. Major participants such as 21Shares, HashKey Cloud, UTXO Management, and Sypher Capital were instrumental in fueling the first bond cycle. Their involvement highlights a growing trend of professional firms seeking ways to utilize their Bitcoin holdings through secondary layers rather than simply letting them sit idle in cold storage.
