In an era where artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming the primary lens through which people consume information, a new study from marketing agency ICODA has revealed which cryptocurrency news sources hold the most influence over AI models. By testing thirty six specific industry queries across four different AI engines, including heavyweights like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, the firm sought to identify whose reporting is being prioritized when users ask these bots for financial insights.

The results highlight a narrow circle of trust within the digital asset space. While many publications vie for attention, Crypto.news, CryptoSlate, and CoinDesk emerged as the dominant voices that AI systems rely upon most frequently. Even more telling was the fact that only CoinDesk and Crypto.news managed to secure citations across every single engine tested, suggesting their content possesses a level of authority or structure that resonates best with machine learning algorithms.

This shift suggests a fundamental change in how visibility works for blockchain media. It is no longer enough to simply rank well on traditional search engines; publishers must now optimize for AI discoverability to remain relevant. As more investors turn to chatbots for quick summaries rather than browsing multiple tabs of articles, those few outlets favored by the AI could effectively become the sole curators of truth for a massive portion of the crypto community.
